Brian taught at the Teacher's Training College in Ubon Ratchathani for two years.
Upon completing his Peace Corps service he travelled through Indonesia, India and Africa for about a year.
He returned to his home in New York.
He kept in contact with Don Blakemore, who, at the time was living and working in Monterey , California in the construction industry.
Brian came out to California and joined Don. He spent several years as a carpenter and contractor.
About 15 years ago he went back to school and got a degree in nursing.
He has been a RN for about 12 years now. He currently works at the University of San Francisco.
