In 1969, 74 Peace Corps volunteers were sent to teach English in Thailand. We noticed the shape of "Meung Thai" was like an elephant's head. I was sent to the elephant's mouth in Bangkok. Thais believe their country is shaped like an axe -- to smite the enemies of the King in the past.
